Dieline Preparation

What to prepare before requesting a free dieline

A packaging dieline should be confirmed before final artwork. It defines the pouch outline, cut line, bleed area, safe zone, seal area, bottom gusset, zipper position, valve position, tear notch, hang hole, window position, and panel layout. Without a correct dieline, important artwork may be placed too close to the edge, seal area, or zipper area.

Before requesting a dieline, prepare your product type, filling weight, target pouch size, pouch style, material preference, quantity, and artwork status. If your project needs a zipper, degassing valve, spout, hang hole, clear window, child-resistant zipper, or custom shaped pouch, mention those details early so the dieline can be prepared correctly.

The dieline is only the starting point for artwork preparation. Final packaging should still be checked with real product filling, sealing tests, barcode and QR code scanning, artwork safe zones, and production tolerance. This helps avoid artwork revisions and production delays.
