Packaging Tool
Shrink Sleeve Size Calculator
Estimate shrink sleeve printing width from container circumference and seam allowance before creating artwork for bottles, jars, and contoured packaging.
Estimate shrink sleeve flat width
Enter the maximum container circumference and seam allowance. This gives a planning size only. Final shrink sleeve dimensions should be tested with the actual container and film.

How to estimate shrink sleeve size before artwork
Shrink sleeve sizing should be confirmed before final artwork because the sleeve must fit the container circumference, height, shape, and shrink direction. A bottle with straight walls is easier to size than a contoured bottle with shoulders, curves, or different diameter areas. If the container has a larger middle circumference or a smaller neck area, distortion artwork may be required.
Important details include maximum circumference, sleeve height, seam area, shrink direction, material type, and production tolerance. PETG and shrink PET films may have different shrink behavior, so the material should be confirmed with the supplier before printing. The back seam area should not contain important text, barcode, QR code, or key branding elements.
Use the calculator as a planning reference, then confirm the final shrink sleeve dieline with actual container measurements. For contoured bottles, a physical test is recommended before mass production to avoid distortion, poor fit, wrinkling, or incorrect seam placement.
